Discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation

Although I enjoyed TNG and DS9 much more than the original series, there were a few things, looking back that I’m glad weren’t in the the original series or reboots.

Families on the Enterprise is one, which seemed stupid when the Enterprise voyaged into the unknown meeting potentially dangerous aliens. Another was the role of counsellor becoming prominent in the series, which just dragged and became boring.

The on off Riker Troi relationship was another thing I quickly became bored with.

And any Wesley Crusher centric episode.

Other than that I loved it! heart_eyes

The main characters all seem so flawless, excelling at everything they do. Always using their time so wholesomely and productively - reading literature, studying, painting, listening to classical music, exercising, etc. Sickening smiley

your right Barclay was shown to be a real out cast.

I didn't like any episode featuring the Ferengi
