Discuss The Crown

Just finished the smog episode (Act of God) and was kinda touched when Churchill was at the hospital to visit his assistant who looked up to him and sadly died. Like finally he can see the effects and how people were actually suffering.

Then all of a sudden it changed from that to seeing an opportunity to have a great image and be the hero of the crisis by calling the press.
What a character sweat_smile

A brilliant mind for sure. I really enjoyed his fireside chat with his wife, telling her how it all played out. She appears to be his greatest fan. I love that.

I thought Lithgow was brilliant as the wily Churchill, but didn't like that the Golden Globes overlooked him. He deserves the best supporting actor Emmy without a doubt.

Lithgow, while an excellent actor, was miscast as Churchill... He's far too tall, with too thin a face... I kept having to remind myself that he was Churchill...
