Honestly, with Eddie's visions and his now, tree like tattoo, I feel like he's destined to be the leader of Meyerism. I feel like this is where it's going, but I could totally be off base.

I think it could go one of three ways.

1. Cal takes over. Rules with an iron fist. Ruthlessly manipulates others, power trips.

2. Eddie steps up and unseats Cal. But in this scenario I can't see Eddie taking over and repeating Steves Dogma. He would have to change things entirely.

3. Cal and Sarah lose the money. The movement collapses. It either fizzles out into nothing or goes out in a tragic ways like a mass suicide. In the former scenario Cal would probably end up a homeless street preacher... Or in prison.

I quit watching. Just became too unrealistic for me.

Anna .. s2 hasn't had the allure of s1 .. hoping writers and show runners can pull us through.

Should have been a terrific one season show. You can only milk a story like this so much. Aaron Paul is proving he's a one dimensional character. Only knows angst.

After seeing episode 8, I must say I can't see any other outcome than Eddie rejoining the movement. All the signs and all the visions are coming together like a puzzle and he can't deny them any longer. If you build it they will come.

And on a side note, that must have been Kathleen Turner who played Cal's mother? If it hadn't been for that characteristic voice I never would have recognized her!

Same for me. I had no idea until I heard her voice and then I also remembered her from last season b!tch-slapping Cal.
