Outsiders: Season Three; Would You Watch the Cancelled TV Series on Another Channel? by Jessica Pena, April 19, 2017

Are you a fan of Outsiders? WGN America just cancelled the TV series after two seasons. What do you think? Do you think it should have been renewed? Would you watch a third season on another channel?

Airing on Tuesday nights, the Outsiders drama follows the Farrell clan, a tight-knit family who reside in the rugged hills of Appalachia and come into conflict with the surrounding population. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.

Ratings have never been great for Outsiders, but it’s been one of the highest-rated original scripted shows on WGN America. Currently, season two is averaging a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo and 780,000 viewers — down by 26% in the demo when compared to the first season. Now, it seems that the upcoming season two finale, scheduled for April 25th, will also serve as the series finale.

Or, will it? Sony Pictures Television is reportedly shopping a third season of Outsiders to other outlets. The show’s ratings wouldn’t seem to be a strong selling point but, these days, you never know.

I don't know what's going on with WGN cause there is talk that Underground might not get renewed also. They need to get their shit together.

It's one of their most watched and highly rated show and it made absolutely no sense to cancel a show that had high ratings. That is completely backwards, which seems to now be a pattern with WGN. I'm sure everyone involved with the show was just as confused as the fans are. Then they wanted to market the season finale as a "series finale" where nothing made sense as far as ending the series. It was really a mess, but I still love the show and hope it get picked up by another network.

So apparently whomever this dude is that bought WGN, they claim they are moving away from scripted TV. So that's one of the reasons why its been cancelled. Also no one else would pick up the show so that's it.

Hopefully another network will pick it up.

What? thats wank, this show was great :/i need to see oppie kicking more ass
