I think Drummer made the right call when she fired (or attempted to fire) on the Raci.
Faced with a choice between the lives of a few or the death of so many, I think she did what any good leader would have done. Even if she believed that Naomi was right--even if she believe that Holden was not the kind of person who would pull such a stunt; I think for the greater good she had no choice but to do as she did.
Maybe if she were only putting herself in jeopardy, she would have made a different choice--gone with her gut--listened to Naomi; but at the cost of the lives of her crew, as captain it was the only way she could go.

A good captain always has to be ready to choose between life and death and balancing the options. Sending some one to their death via mission must haunt them for the rest of there days.

Again Drummer proves herself Captain-worthy.
Hats off to her for making the “hard choice”— willing to sacrifice her life to ensure that Ashford lived so that her crew and ship would continued to have experienced leadership.
It doesn’t get any deeper than that.
“Courage – It is the greatest quality of mind next to Honor.” Aristotle
Drummer has shown that she possesses plenty of both.
