'Showdown with Rance McGrew'. What a nasty ep ( though played for laughs-- not enough of a saving grace!). A bunch of outlaws who between them all, and the Quantrill Raiders Jesse James was really part of, are mass-murderous still all get to go to heaven after they die. What an outrage of a thought! Why in blazes are they not in the other place? How outraging an ep this was!
New interpretation. That was NOT really Jesse James' ghost Rance dealt with. It was the Devil himself masquerading as James! Figure-- how did Jesse suddenly have the material ability to drive a 1960s (?)car and where did he get the car to begin with? Being a ghost implies none of this would be an innate ability of his but as really the Devil he could do it. James and the other outlaws did all go to hell. The Devil just came up to make them look better in Rance's TV show.
( See my true postings on Bible scientific accuracy like jet streams!)
PS No way to tell if it is Rance's car he drove up in or not. Reminds me of the film 'Bruce Lee we miss you'. One the guys in the restaurant who starts troubling the comely Betty Ting ( Pei) I think later shows up as a bad guy working for goons. But the film was obviously so low budget that it is possible it was just the same two-bit actor in a different role.

Speaking of "Bruce Lee :We miss you". Betty Tin was played by actress Pei-Ling Chen. Took me a while to find her name.
