Interesting question about Delores: why is she there?

Delores is the host that we see most often, and the creators (in-universe) have clearly gone to a lot of trouble to make her an interesting character. And yet she has almost no interaction with the "guests". She deals with her "father", with Teddy, and with the brigands that take over her ranch -- all robots. It is just chance, apparently, that throws her together with William. So why was she put in the program? It is because Bernard is fascinated with her? Or did Ford create her as part of a hidden agenda? Or is it a flaw in the show?

(I have only seen 5 episodes so far, so maybe this is explained later)

I'd go mad if I were Dolores.

"Watch it all, then ask what is its purpose in the narratives?" I have watched it all, and it looks like I was right -- she was being used by Bernard and Ford to advance agendas. And I suppose that the reason she had little contact with guests (other than William) was to ensure that everybody else ignored her.

I wasn't asking her role in the TV program. I was asking what the Delos people think her role in the park is, since she rarely interacts with guests.

Dolores isn't about the park, about the guests, and it isn't about you. It's about her. If you really want to know, rewatch the last two or three episodes, and you'll know.

She did. That was the purpose of the Wyatt narrative.

She did. That was the purpose of the Wyatt narrative. Did she go crazy or did she fufill her purpose to Arnold Weber and Ford, completing the journey into the maze of consciousness?

I believe that she's still under the control of Ford's and Arnold's programing.

I thought Dolores "park" role was as a "romance option". Unless engaged by a guest she'd go through the "Teddy" loop, but otherwise she'd be the innocent "damsel in distress" for a guest to rescue as William initially starts to do.

This show is definitely worth re watching because of all the little details.

More like a switch to initiation sequence of Weber's last self destruct script, leaving a heir and a few memories for grudge as consciousness.
Suicide by bot, evolved with magic bullets. I think both gods are dead.

Sounds plausible. Ford won't give up his dream to someone else that easily, so he sabotaged it.
