Overall, I thought it was good. I didn't think it was as amazing as some viewers, but I definitely like it it. If you enjoy HBO dramas I recommend giving it a try.

thanks I like HBO stuff

It has Anthony Hopkins in it. Of course it's good.

I was underwhelmed by the first episode because it didn't make sense yet and I didn't get the hype, but the second one was amazing so I'm glad I kept it up. It gets better as it goes on though not every episode was equally interesting, but that's because I'm not so hooked on some of the characters and their story line so YMMV. Acting is good, in some cases like Thandie Newton it's stellar. Always thought she was talented with a gorgeous face, but now I've realized she's actually future Oscar material and has boobs only rivaled by Rosario Dawson. If you've seen "Alexander" you'll know what I mean ;-) It's visually stunning and requires one pays close attention to details. I will say that being a morals focused person is, for lack of a better term, if not a prerequisite, then as a minimum a huge factor in one's ability to appreciate it.

It's just awesome. Awesome idea, awesome storyline and brilliant cast.

It's awesome how well the Nolan show is compared to the original. Good example of how you make a tv show out of the movie.

"I was underwhelmed by the first episode because it didn't make sense". I thought that was the idea -- that it was designed to mystify the viewer, with the duplicate scenes and the question of what the various technicians' hidden agendas were.

I only liked Anthony Hopkin's character. The rest of the show was kind of haphazard. The concept just wasn't done well at all. It started out interesting and then slowly lost all credibility and plausibility by going too far into philosophy. But a lot of people enjoyed the show up until the finale I think. I stopped watching about 3 episodes before the finale.

I would argue that by going 'too far into philosophy', this show distinguishes itself from any other generic show we watch in binges nowadays.

To the OP: I highly recommend it
