Since we see him talking to Will Bowman on the preview for next week, I assume he saw through the Governor General's weak denial that anything was wrong. Wonder how he knows a way of getting in touch with Will? Could he have found out where Broussard was hiding and covered up the information? He's got to be thinking in terms of getting his daughter out of the bloc. I hope he gets out too, Snyder is one of the show's more interesting characters and it would suck to lose him.

Hard to say which characters will make it to season 3. I hope Snyder makes it too. These days a show needs to kill off main characters to keep the viewers guessing. When Broussard was spared by the drones, that may have been his ticket to season 3 or just a tease and he dies next week. Ready for Maddie to go, but she is family so she might get to stay. All the questions, will make us tune in next week.

I agree, I didn't care for him season one, but he has shown some balls this season.

Me too.

Yeah. Snyder is one of the few who didn't gave up on helping people and humanity as a whole. He's not completely selfish like the rest of the officials so I really hope we'll see him again in season 3 as well.

It's tough to guess whether Snyder is always one step ahead and does things only to take care of himself, or whether he is honestly just doing his best, like Will, under tough circumstances. And there is still the possibility he is working with someone in the resistance. But if he's not, I don't care! He's the most watchable character on this show. I came for the aliens (who have barely showed) but I stayed for Snyder!

Well for one, he had no reason to save Bram like he did.

True. At least he had no reason that we can really see yet.He doesn't like to burn bridges though. He knew Bram was maddie's nephew and maybe thought about how he might be used to reach out against the family in the future to secure a place for himself. After all, he ended up using Maddie against Nolan didn't he? He's playing a chess game and he's still hard to peg. Love him though.

I am thinking it was specifically because he is Will's son...and why Bram still hasn't told dad or mom that Snyder saved him-or did I miss that?

OT: Why is it that sometimes when I click "Quote" to reply to someone, the name that appears is not the name of the person I am replying to? For example, Kathy when the quote from you appears it says @Thebridge?

Ha who knows? In my profile you'll find The Bridge and I use my name Kathy, but it switches off constantly. And I'm wondering too if Bram ever told Will about Snyder grabbing him at the last moment before the camp was taken out.

Ok :LOL. Yep it still says "@The bridge" I just changed it previously to Kathy.

I thought that was really important to tell them as soon as he got home. Ok , thanks smile so I didn't miss that happening.

No, we didn't actually see that onscreen. That doesn't mean he never talked about it though. The preview shows Snyder informing Will about the upcoming Total Rendition. Presumably he wants help getting his daughter out of the bloc, and if Will doesn't already know he saved Bram I'm sure he'll mention it - and call in the favor. Who knows. Maybe Snyder will become a mole for the resistance. When Helena told him not to play innocent, it didn't suit him, she seemed to miss the look on his face. I think he really did believe he was saving lives by keeping order in the LA bloc. The revelation that he was actually running a modern day Polish ghetto, with the residents all just waiting for their spot on the trains, was definitely not okay with him.

In the first season, iirc, Snyder even mentioned how it would be so much worse under someone else. He understood the deal and tried his best to hold it together. And remember he was one of the first people to meet with some form of higher authority - or maybe an actual Rap, so he knows more about who's running this place than most of the bloc. No, I don't think he's ok with this ghettoized version of society, but keeping himself at the top of the food chain seemed to serve all concerned at the time. Now that things are falling apart, I'm still not sold on the idea of a martyr Snyder who would actively take risks against his own safety. But maybe, we'll see. I forgot about his daughter. Yeah, she'll have some weight in calling what move he makes at rendition time.

I like this theory, probably exactly how it will happen thumbsup_tone2

When I saw that look 'I thought oh-oh, what will Snyder do?' because I just know he will have something up his sleeve.

No, I meant in the sense that the residents of the Polish ghettos were made to believe they were being kept in a reservation. In reality it was just a big holding tank to keep them penned in while they were shipped out a few at a time on trains to the death camps, leading eventually to a roundup of the remaining population - just as the truth started becoming clear to them. This is not what Snyder signed on for. You can understand the collaborators' point of view in this show. An advanced alien race shows up, you can't beat them, but if you cooperate then most humans will be allowed to live. Yes they'll have to give up most of the freedoms they're used to. It's better than extinction though.

But take away that "will be allowed to live" part and you change the calculus dramatically. I think Snyder was trying very hard not to look as horrified as he felt. He's always been a straight shooter, even when he was throwing his weight around and blackmailing people he didn't mince words or deny what he was doing. He probably realizes now that whatever promises the raps have given the high level collaborators are just as empty as the ones they've sold to the common folk. They're not going to be spared. After everyone else is dead, they'll be the last ones through the showers. That's all. Something even the Governor General doesn't seem to get.
