I'm still annoyed that there will be so many unanswered plot threads because of this. And its not like the new characters can just rattle off an answer for every unanswered question that still lingers. Such as: Why was Emma's dad at Kieran's grave? Who killed Kieran in the prison? Who is the new killer that is still out to get Emma? What is the real story with Emma's mom, and that entire backstory with Brandon James? And it ended with the cliffhanger of "Mr James" checking into a hotel in Lakewood...

Anyone have any other unresolved storylines?

I don't understand the "logic" behind "Let's just reboot it with new characters and not finish off the current story." If they wanted to do that, why not just finish off this version gracefully after one season, and then reboot the series after a year or two? This was the only good show I've seen from MTV in recent years. Too bad that they might ruin it.

Yep timsilva, I am baffled at MTV and the producers decision to completely abandon what they had setup with the previous seasons. If the season two finale didn't set up so many more questions, I would be okay with a new storyline with new characters. But to actively spit in the face of the fans, I will actively campaign against season 3.

The big reason for the reboot is because it was "too white" according to one of the articles I read. The whole cast has been changed to people of other races. The main star is a black man. While it will be interesting to see a man be the main victim for a change, I do wish they would have wrapped up the Brandon James story. I hope they'll make some kind of reference in the season to give fans a little closure. I'm still gonna watch. I love horror theme shows / movies. Hopefully it's done right.

Scream Season 3 Details

Yep. I wish they would have added newer characters as well but with the new production team, that is also of other races, they want to start it fresh. I wish they would have kept Brooke and Noah. Those were the two characters I liked. I never cared for Emma. I know some like Willa's acting, but she never did it for me. The other thing I'm looking forward to is seeing how they handle the difference between a man being the target of a serial killer than a woman. I hope they keep it like the Scream movies with the killer in the mask and doing the phone calls. I'm ok with the diverse cast, but for it to be associated with the Scream franchise it needs to be exactly like the Scream franchise. I think that was the main problem a lot of viewers had with the last two seasons. It wasn't connected to the Scream movies and the killer had a different mask. Hopefully with this reboot, they can connect it somehow and use the original mask.
