Maggie Lied! Is this kind of lying acceptable?

Does Maggie’s lie about her parents being supportive of her lesbianism count against her? Is she a boldface liar or does she get a pass?

I think Maggie and Alex should be facing some opposition to their relationship. Without any conflict, it's going to be boring. Did you notice the strange look Alex gave?

Wrong time period though. 10 years ago that may have worked. But it's such a sensitive topic now. I don't recall the look. What sort of look was it?

It was kind of a look of dismay. If you see the episode again, watch Alex when she's facing away from Maggie.
