Discuss Fear the Walking Dead

I actually really like Fear. I have since the first season. However, I think it would have been interesting to follow this group, become attached to the characters and see them become the start of the Whisperers. The Whisperers in turn wouldn't be just the next 'big bad', but a group of people that fans have been rooting for. Madison would have been Alpha, Taqa could have been Beta. It seems that the two shows are going to merge together with Morgan wanting to head back to Alexandria. It would have been a different approach to have a full backstory to the 'bad guys'.

Honestly, I don't know much at all about these Whisperers that keep coming up here. And me, I was more than happy with the 180 degree turn that Strand, Nick, Luciana, and Alicia took at the first ep of this current season, as far as turning them into "bad guys." The first ep and the second ep of the season were so good, I'd probably rank them among the best of anything television has to offer. And Madison was a "good girl." It's as simple as that. She may have done a few questionable acts when she was alive, but she was not a baddie.

It seems that the Whisperers are on the way. It was announced recently that Samantha Morton has been cast as Alpha.

I read about the casting of Alpha. I haven't been able to find anything on who they cast for Beta. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season of TWD. I just saw the comic Con trailer a couple days ago, and it made me excited for the next season. Curious how they're going to handle the big cast change.

Indeed -- how will they deal with the gaping chasm caused by the leaving of Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie)? Can they successfully deal with it?

Supposedly they will be focusing more on Daryl and Negan. Just what everyone wants, more Negan.😝

So in other words, they're prepping Negan to be the new leader of our original group...what's left of it anyway...Daryl and Carol? Ugh....that's gonna suck.

Isn't this supposed to be a "Fear the Walking Dead" discussion thread? I know I'm just as culpable as anyone else in this, but... just sayin'.

Wasn't it you who veered the thread off course ? 😉
