I'd like to see the cast from FTWD come into conflict with the cast of TWD at some point.
I like the idea that Nick from Fear the Walking Dead might be setting up the Whisperers, who are a massive band of wanderers who camouflage themselves in walker hides and roam the countryside among the dead.
I think they're gonna have just one character from one show crossover to another show. Ain't no telling who it'll be right now. I hope they do this right. I don't want to see a FTWD character crossover to TWD and reveal that their whole posse got killed earlier in the timeline.
It seems simple enough, but I am thinking ahead about stuff like that.
Well my first guess was that it would be that lady who Alicia teamed up with briefly. The one who took the potatoes and got her leg broken. I had assumed that the cameo would be in TWD and not FTWD. If that is who they use then who cares?
But the latest scuttlebutt is that it will be Abraham showing up in FTWD since they are headed to Houston. I guess he hails from there?
Still wondering, how Morgan's appearance is going to fit in the FTWD timeline.
Probably the time frame that he was missing from WD. After meeting Rick for the first time. I don't see how else it would work.
I thought I heard when FTWD comes back, there will have been a time jump from where it left off last season. In other words, they might not have to justify Morgan's appearance in it in the way you refer to. It's funny, when someone asks me "How is FTWD different than TWD?", I don't have anything to say other than "it's got different characters." Stuff like this (the time jump) makes it that way.

That's what I thought at first. But for some reason, after watching the S04 trailer and the latest TWD episodes, it seems to me that Morgan will be leaving Rick's group and go south. That's why I assumed it will not be a "flashback".
Or rather FTWD has moved forward in time faster, to catch up with TWD.

Yes and TWD is reported to also have a time jump starting in season 9. Gimble, who is departing as show runner, said all story lines will be tied up in the finale. So I guess it's the end of Negan! Time jump would allow FTWD, which I have never seen but read it followed the virus outbreak in LA so was behind in time where TWD was, and also one in TWD to align and also give Morgan reasonable time to make it across the country.
I may start watching more for Garret Dilihunt as he has always been a fav actor of mine (he was once in line to play Negan). He joins the cast as does "Lost" alum Maggie Grace.

I had heard that Eugene shows up in FTWD, also the Houston connection. If it's Abraham that would be a way to extend the character's life.

Maybe he leaves the group when they run into Eugene and nobody buys his schtick but Abe.

I'd kind of like it to be Merle Dixon.
