I wanted to give "This Is Us" a shot and it was on the same time as this is. So I gave it up around the time Marcy thought Brad had killed precious Randall. Anyway, I tuned back in for the premiere and I hadn't really missed anything.
Randall was still with the hillbillies Travis is still stalking Kelly Joey is still unconscious Eddie is still Eddie.
The only changes is that cop that looked like he set up Pete to be ambushed is also a fed and for some reason Marcy is hanging with Kelly, probably because she turned on Brad and earned her stripes back into the We Love Alex Society.
Some things finally happened in the premiere. Alex's racist mommy and daddy got shot down. Brad saved the adultery baby when evil racist mama threw him into the water. Things that didn't change. Randall is still Randall; Alex should have plugged him when she had the chance and Eddie got away with trying to string up Randall. And that cliffhanger from two seasons ago was resolved where Travis was going in to a room in Lucien's house; we found out he killed Ramsey.
And Joey finally woke-up and the dead gangster's ho was threatening to make sure Joey would die like her no-good son did.

Well, I'm sure the critics who are all raving at how This Is Us is the second coming would say I'm sitting on my taste because when it came down between choosing The Have And Have Nots over This Is Us, I picked The Have And Have Nots over the critics darling. I ended up feeling that show is just too manipulative for my taste. I prefer Tyler Perry's soaps over it.
I just hope Marcy isn't pregnant by that abusive thug Randall. I also have a sick feeling even though that child is black, a DNA test is going to prove that kid is Brad's kid. I would love it if they discovered that Randall is sterile. Now that would be the perfect punishment for this abusive stalking thug. He thinks he's this big sterile prime specimen of manhood and it's all Marcy's fault because she didn't get pregnant, but imagine the crushing blow to his ego if he finds out it's because he's the one shooting blanks. That would make more of an impression on this moron that putting him in a box and stringing him up did. The minute it was over he hadn't learned one damned thing and is right back to it, again.
