Discuss Poldark

List of Events Occurring in Poldark Season 2 Episode 8 (USA) On, Near, or Beneath Cliffs Belonging to the Poldark's Property at Nampara. Please feel free to add any thoughts you might have for or against Debbie Horsfield's excessive use of visits to an ocean view in place of action occurring somewhere else.

Aware of her husband's infidelity with Elizabeth Demelza does not hold back from expressing her disgust and defiantly attends a house party alone. Here she flirts with the amorous captain McNeil though loyalty to Ross causes her to draw the line at sex with him. Elizabeth's marriage to George Warleggan finally goes ahead whilst Ross gets good news on the business front when repayment of a previous loan enables him to maintain the mine and a profitable find is made - one which will hopefully save his marriage.

1) Title sequence on top of cliff 2) Title sequence riding along side of the cliff 3) Title sequence in looking down on Wheal Leisure on top of cliff 4) Looking down on miners' bodies removed from mine as they lay near cliff 5) Ross riding along cliff, meeting George riding toward him, and continuing on. 6) Surf pounding furiously against cliffs as George reads letter from Elizabeth asking for postponement of wedding 7) Dwight - apparently bereft of equine companion - is leisurely walking along Nampara cliff on the way to Trenwith for (female) Poldark emergency; encounters Ross riding by (in same direction), chats, and Ross continues on is same direction without offering the good doctor a life to aid his ailing (female) members . . . . Dwight strolls onward . . . .
8) George (!!!) standing at cliff edge gazing at ocean in evident bewilderment at his beloved's need to postpone the happy event; no horse in sight 9) Ross standing on cliff side looking at Wheal Grace the night after the disaster 10) Demelza in her ball gown walking on the beach below the Nampara cliff 11) Ross riding home along Nampara cliff and sees Demelza on beach 12) Demelza and Ross - below the cliff - fighting as they walk through the baby waves instead of being normal people and walking on the drier sand 13) Ross abandoned in the baby waves as Demelza has clearly expressed her "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" statement and gone to warm up at home 14) Miners and their families returning to work along the cliffs 15) Demelza a top Nampara cliff gazing toward the Colonies wondering how long it would take for Ross to go back and leave her in peace 16) Ross - in his great joy to tell Demelza of the huge tin strike at Wheal Grace - racing down from the heights to travel on foot along the Nampara beach to home because there is a secret shortcut known only to him . . . . DUH!!!

Yeah, I sometimes thinks DH ignores a lot of story to put in all the pretty scenery.

And now you mention it, exactly how did Ross get down the cliffs to the beach without breaking his neck? You're right. He must have a secret way only known to him.

Hi, Banana.

I appreciate your advice on changing the title to the General Discussion, but could not made it work. Although I was able to bring up the "General" label, the message would not approve the edit, so my hope is that people will find their way here in spite of my misunderstanding the selections. Thanks for providing the enlightenment.

Please give me exact directions where I "add a space and delete it" because without a specific location on a specific page, it could refer to anything I wrote from the topic of "General" or "Content" to the message box . I am pleased to help, Banana, if you give me the literal Step One location to begin the process.

This is a brand new adventure on C19, so consider this my second steps (having taken the first ones accidentally wrong.) relaxed

Point taken smile_cat

  1. Click "Edit" on your first post
  2. Change the Category to General
  3. To turn the Submit button into a "functional" button, you have to make any kind of edits on the post (i.e. you can literally just add an extra space anywhere in your original message and the color of the save button should change).
  4. Click on the (now black) Submit button.

BTW, I will delete my part of the conversation. I don't want to spam your topic.

Please, Mr. (?) Banana, leave your posts as they are because you have helped me as a newbie with TMDb and others may be helped with this information. Learning a new system is always an important part of being successful in the community.

From birth until I was seventeen and graduating, I was a military dependent. My dad was an excellent problem solver in electronic challenges, so he was constantly sent to new ships in new locations to sort out the difficulties. He loved that life and the recognition greatly. We got to move often often and begin again in a new state, school, culture, etc. The only way to survive and flourish was to reach out, confess my ignorance asap, and ask for explanations of systems, which helped in breaking "the new kid" ice, gaining information to diminish embarrassing mistakes, and in building bridges to friendships.

Thanks so much for taking your time to explain what was needed. The process will be easy the next time a change is needed because the tools will be similar or the same.

I appreciate your kindness. relaxed wave

Ms grin Thank you @HistoryLover for moving the topic and for the lovely story! I will leave my last post.
