Extra Details: I believe I have identified 9 missing episodes from this season according to the following sources: IMDB, discovery go, amazon, and youtube.
From what I have found, the following is the correct episode sequence according to original air dates. (* items are missing in TMDB)

I seem unable to make edits to this show using my account. I would like to recommend that we update the TMDB to add these missing episodes in the proper sequence. Is there additional evidence of the original air dates required to make these changes?

Ok, I see the two episodes you found listed under specials. Sorry I missed that.
However, only some seasons include the "Add New Episode" button:
The rest of the seasons, including Season 2 which is what I need to edit, do not include the button. Seems that all the other seasons are "locked". Can you unlock Season 2 at least?

I'm understanding a little better what you mean by "special" episodes. But it still seems difficult to determine a special vs something that was aired in sequence of a normal season of episodes, as these appear to have been.
Trying to research the original air dates is a bit challenging as the network that produced the show doesn't seem to provide that information anywhere. But looking at the IMDB and streaming sites that carry the show, they all seem to have a reasonable listing for the airdates "that account for gaps that are apparent in the TMDB data". I realize amazon is using IMDB and that is likely true also for youtube and therefore google. Hulu tends not to list the air dates, and neither does discovery.com or the travel channel at least not as far back as when this season first aired.
Basically, what I'm left with is looking at the frequency of air dates listed in TMDB, and noticing that a new episode is "typically aired" each week, but taking note of the gaps where there is no episode listed for a particular week in the season. Then consolidating data from amazon, youtube, imdb and thetvdb I see episodes that, according to those sites, originally aired in those gaps.
The most reasonable and consistent information on original air dates for Season 2 from all available external sources account for gaps in the TMDB sequencing and appears to show that these episodes belong in season 2.
Is that enough proof to unlock season 2 so I can update it with the missing episodes? Or is it better to plop these missing TMDB episodes into the specials? Also, if there is a guide or post somewhere with tips on what constitutes good proof, and maybe even sites that are helpful in gathering it, I would be interested.
As far as I'm concerned, it makes sense according to TMDB policy that these should go into season 2 to fill the gaps. But if this isn't the evidence of proof you are looking for, let me know and I can enter them instead into specials.
Either way, I appreciate all you and other moderators do to keep TMDB the best crowdsourced repo of movie metadata out there!
