So I found this show on Netflix and its pretty amazing. The writing is fantastic, witty and believable. You can tell they dont have a large budget since they film in 4 or 5 key locations with only a few handful of on location shots here and there. But that in no way effects the quality of the show. The characters are really well written and brought to life by a great cast. Honestly, the cast makes the show. They all have great chemistry, no wonder since some are family in real life. If you are looking for a new show to watch, give this one a try, you wont regret it.

Yes! I love this show. I just discovered it and wanted to share with someone. I am not into sitcoms anymore (old age, I guess), but I watched because I kept reading entertainment articles recommending it. I love it. Everyone on this show is awesome. I am blown away by Eugene Levy's son (I think it's Daniel). I can't believe he doesn't have more credits. I was bummed when Netflix didn't have the third season. It is witty and snarky, but not really mean. And emotional without feeling sappy.

Agreed. Dan Levy as David is probably one of the best thing about this show. The new season is on 'PopTV' which seems strange. I think this could defiantly find a bigger audience on a major network for sure. It might be the new Always Sunny if given half a chance. Hopefully being on Netflix will expose it to more people, its a shame more people dont know about it.

I am so happy I popped in here to see if anyone was talking about it. I have been checking Netflix to see if there was a 3rd season - I had no idea it was on a channel!
For me, this is one of the funniest shows I have watched in a long time. David is easily one of my most favorite characters.

They just actually took the 3rd season off on Demand in my area so Im pretty annoyed! I hope they release the 3rd season on Netflix soon or maybe a DVD. And of course David is the best.

Schitt'$ Creek has been been playing on POP TV in my area/offered by my carrier ever since season 1 and I always watch the episodes On Demand.
I started watching because I thought Eugene Levy is funny ( and thought it was a great name for a comedy) and was surprised that everyone on the show is hilarious. It's the only good show on POP.
For those who may not know the woman who plays the waitress " Twyla Sands" at the diner is Eugene's daughter, Sarah Levy. Also Emily Hampshire who plays"Stevie Budd" also plays "Jennifer Goines" on Sy Fy channels 12 Monkeys.

This is one of those rare shows that makes you feel better for having seen it. Unfailingly joyous even in its darker moments.
What is especially delightful is how it circumvented expectations. The original fish out of water premise almost begged to take the piss out of small targets. This sort of thing, sadly, has become fashionable among modern writers. How easy it is to laugh at unsophisticated white trash and yokels. But what initially suggested a Green Acres for the 21st Century, tho the writers claim the inspiration was Gilligans Island, almost immediately subverts that expectation and takes a wonderful shot at modern urban foibles, the insensibilities of the monied classes, and the foolishness of mindless aspiration.
In the end it glories in the small wonders that are in front of us and the simple affirmation of life and love.
And what a revelation Dan Levy is. Lets hope the success of Schitt's Creek gives him the freedom to create more like this. And the rest of the cast, without exception, bring added lustre to this gem.
