Discuter de 90 Day Fiancé

OK, I thought they were going to continue following the "Before the 90 Days" people, but apparently not.

So, I just tuned in tonight and I already know two of the people who are on this. I didn't remember Molly until she mentioned the show she used to have with her business partner. It was a very uncomfortable show to watch. I think I tuned in for about one, maybe two episodes before I stopped watching.

Then there's Nicole and Azan. This is the first I'm hearing of her daughter. I remember her from being on the show before. She's sweet, but I remember thinking at the time that she really needed to grow up (I know she was young then, so that was part of the problem) and she needed to understand more about his culture. Of course he's not going to be affectionate with her in public. That's not the way his culture is. And I don't think him being here is going to change that. The thing about her story though, is that I remember watching her two or three years ago at least, but she's saying it's only been a year since she met Azan??? Or is it that this stuff is taped a year or more in advance? And from what little I've seen, she still strikes me as someone who needs more maturity. OK, here's my problem with Nicole's family. The mother isn't very different from mine. "You need to grow up. You're not mature enough." But then she doesn't let Niclole grow up and learn what she needs to learn because she's always trying to control what Nicole does. So of course Nicole is going to be emotionally immature and insecure. Her mother is doing more harm than good. And she's so critical. So of course Nicole is ALWAYS going to go on the defensive with her. It's a disaster waiting to happen. And Morocco is not the place for Nicole, but her mother is going to drive her straight to living in that country just so she can get away from her mom. Which means she'll go essentially from one controlling situation to another. NOT GOOD.

The rest I'm waiting to see. Although the girl from Thailand (unless there's someone else I'm thinking of and just confusing her with the girl from Thailand) is reminding me of Anfisa. I hope I'm wrong in this. OK, yep, I'm confusing Annie with the other girl. Sorry about that. Still trying to learn everyone's names since tonight is the first night I've watched this season.

Yep, I'm concerned about David and Annie. David concerns me because he's living WAY beyond his means and just like Jorge, I don't think he's told Annie that he doesn't have any money. Strikes me as another Jorge and Anfisa waiting to happen.

No, they did show the latest episode of Before the 90 Days, this Sunday. We're talking about it on the other thread.

They showed May when they introduced Nicole.

No, you haven't been watching Nicole for 2 or 3 years. She was featured last season, so one year is right.

And from what little I've seen, she still strikes me as someone who needs more maturity.

She needs a whole truckload of it!

OK, here's my problem with Nicole's family. The mother isn't very different from mine. "You need to grow up. You're not mature enough." Nicole's mom is right. Nicole lives with her mother, and they watch her kid. That limits Nicole right there. If Nicole wants to mature, she needs a job, and she needs to take care of her own kid. She needs to stop relying on the family all the time.

And Morocco is not the place for Nicole, but her mother is going to drive her straight to living in that country just so she can get away from her mom. Which means she'll go essentially from one controlling situation to another. NOT GOOD.

Morocco isn't all that bad. It's a very modern country. Azan's area seems old, but the Morocco's king's goal is to modernized the country. When I visited the country, I was surprised to see it looked better than most of America. This short video captures the look of it.

No, I think you're right. She's the Asian Anfisa.

Yep, I'm concerned about David and Annie. David concerns me because he's living WAY beyond his means and just like Jorge, I don't think he's told Annie that he doesn't have any money. Strikes me as another Jorge and Anfisa waiting to happen.

David seems poorer than Jorge, because David borrows money from his friend to fake the funk. At least, Jorge had some money and didn't borrow from a friend.

Aaaaand here we go with another group of train wrecks. Why do friends and family enable this stuff?
Thailand, let's see, he has tried to marry 2 other girls, on his friend's bankroll. I think dowry payments are traditional in Thailand but I guess our American sucker can't pay to play.

Cat eye and Andrei, I think they are for real but I think sparks are going to fly when he meets her family. I kind of hope they are the success story out of this bunch.

AzNic, I don't know if I can hack another season of these 2. Her brother is right, he sounds like a robot when he tries to fake feelings for her. She is a petulant child with no common sense whatsoever.

Bra lady and DR, I did see an episode of her show. She did a photo shoot with 2 hollowed out pumpkins covering her (enormous) boobs. She at least has some personality so it could be fun to watch.

As if they can stop these fools -- lucky for us though. We need our reality crack. nose This is pure reality at its finest. snowflake

I don't think so. I feel she has romanticized this man, and I believe he's romanticized America.

So right. Nicole is probably mentally younger than her daughter. Does she even think of that girl?

Reality crack, joy So true.

I think she is what is called in Thailand, a Bar Girl. They are basically paid to work in bars in the tourist areas, to be available for drinks, etc. Some, but not all, are prostitutes. I think he said they met in a bar and he bought her a drink. That is their function. Most Thai women do not go to bars, it is not considered appropriate. She fits the profile, comes from a poor rural area and moved to Bangkok to find work. She is pretty enough to get attention from foreign men.

I wouldn't call her the Asian Anfisa, there is another Thai fiance that might fit that bill. They were not featured except in previews. She looks to be much flashier, and more open about her financial demands, than the one on Sunday's episode.

Jonnie, who is that?

She and her fiance were shown only in previews. He looks like a meathead type. She was wearing a lot of makeup and sexier cloths than dowry girl. I think we will see them next week. They were arguing about money.

Yazzzz!

Sounds mighty juicy. meat_on_bone

@Poetist: No, I KNOW it was more than a year ago that I saw Nicole. I didn't watch this show in any capacity in 2016, so it was at LEAST two years ago that I saw Nicole, and I know it was her because I recognized her immediately and remembered their story. As to the daughter, there was no daughter when I first watched Nicole. She had JUST gone to Morocco for the first time and I remember her being whiny and childish because Azan wouldn't kiss her or hold her hand or show her any affection in public and I remember them going into a tent for a night out in the desert when he threw some sort of party for her to expose her to his culture and food, etc. and I was rather surprised she went to the tent with him. I thought she should be a little more modest. Anyway, I'm assuming it's at that point that she conceived May. But yeah, there was a LOT of fighting between them to the point that Azan had told the cameras to stop filming them.

And no, it's the other Asian gal I was thinking of, not Annie. While Annie doesn't seem like she's going to put up with much from David (I cringed and laughed when he mentioned buying Annie and Annie was like, "Um, I'm sorry, WHAT??? A dowry does not mean you are buying me!" but that obviously is exactly what he thinks he is doing and can do and I see a lot of fighting between them in the future because of that). And you're right, he is much poorer than Jorge, but that wasn't my point. My point is that behaviorally he's a lot like Jorge. They're both weak men and are looking for trophy wives and know that they cannot get them in America because American women in that category won't give them the time of day. They want women from different countries who might not care that the men aren't much to look at and will want them anyway. I am rather disappointed in David's friend and I'm surprised his girlfriend/wife puts up with him being a bank roll for David.

Also, you misunderstand me re: the Before the 90 Days comment. What I meant is that I thought those people would "graduate" to the normal "90 Day Fiance" show and that that's where we'd be seeing them in the future and the Before the 90 Days would then feature new people, not show completely different people on the 90 Day Fiance show.

@jonnieblack: "Bra Lady..." OMFG! Too funny. And what's worse is that it took me a minute to realize who you meant. Yeah, I am going to enjoy watching her because she's sassy and I love the commercial where her dad(?) makes the "Why is he so interested in coming here?" comment and she replies, "What better reason is there than me?" I always respond with, "Good for you!" because yeah, she's right. If he's really in love with her as he claims, then there is no further reason why he should want to come to America other than her.

Anyway, back to Nicole. I feel really bad for May because no, Nicole really doesn't think about her. She expects her mother to raise May and just provide clothes and food and money and whatever else May might need. And it's because Nicole's mother smothers Nicole and keeps her mentally a child so yeah, it's definitely a child raising a child and it's a vicious cycle. Nicole's mother gets mad at Nicole for not growing up but at the same time she continues doing everything for her because she knows Nicole isn't capable of being an adult and instead of stepping away and letting her learn for herself and make mistakes so she can grow up, she continues to bail Nicole out, and when she finally does the right thing and says, "No, I'm not sponsoring Azan because I don't want that financial burden," what happens? Nicole goes running to daddy and stepmom and they cave because they know she'll just throw a temper tantrum or something and do something really stupid, so to prevent that, they cave and say, "OK, we'll sponsor him because we don't want you running to Morocco and taking our granddaughter with you where we can't keep an eye on her and protect her." So, they're doing the wrong thing for the right reason but because of it, Nicole is never going to grow up. Someone is always going to bail her out of her bad choices and decisions. If they all were really smart, they'd have Nicole declared unfit as a mother so that they could raise May themselves. Though, seeing what Nicole turned out like, I'm not sure they'd make any better of a parent than Nicole.

Satai, May was featured in Nicole's first season but she did not go with Nicole to Morocco. Azan is not her father. As to the time, it was the previous season of 90 Day. I dont know how long ago that was by the calendar. It is getting hard to keep them all straight. I count 4.

  1. The original 90 Day fiance about couples who have, or will shortly obtain, the K1 Visa. Thet were all engaged already and had met in person. Nicole and Azan were on last season of that show. They were different than the others because they had not yet started the process and were meeting for the first time. It was a successful experiment, so now we have....

  2. Before the 90 Days. Couples meeting in person for the first time. Season 1 airing now with Sean, Paul, Cortney, Larry, Darcy and Patrick.

  3. 90 Days Happily Ever After. Features couples who were previously on the original. I think we have Dani and Mo to thank for that one.

  4. What next? Was a web series that migrated to TV. Also featured couples previously on the original. Mel and Devar, Josh and Alexandra, etc.

Okay, I'm going half crazy over Nicole's statement. She wants to leave May alone with Azan to see how he can take care of a child.

WTF????!!!!! rage

First, I'm not saying Azan is a pedophile but who knows.

If Nicole and Azan don't work out, is she going to make her daughter a guinea pig for all of her boyfriends? The odds are she will stumble upon a perv with her lack of intelligence.

Nicole is less mature and more stubborn than on her first season. She is growing in reverse. She was somewhat entertaining before but she seriously needs a legal intervention with that child and to save herself from herself. Can you imagine being her mother?

I don't know. There was so much to absorb the first season. All of her crazy couldn't be put on display. It's an hour show.

No, I can't. Did you catch the two bags of Donnettes on the bed headboard? Imagine is Azan saw them. He would totally flip. LOL.

What are donnettes?
