Discuss 90 Day Fiancé

OK, my original thread is now 6 pages and 70+ replies long. Time for a new one.

Am I the only one who thinks Pao's "music video" is a set up by the show? I was LMAO about the caption for "Musical Artist." The whole production looked very amateurish.

That wasn't the funniest Mo ment though. That would be our man Mohammed's 007 move with his cell phone video.

Was anyone even slightly surprised by Alex's "surprise" visit?

More of the same from PeTel, no comments.

I didn't even think about the video shoot being potentially staged. I've never seen a video being put together, so I don't know how it's done. I'm just over them both. If he wants her to be successful in a modeling career, he needs to back off and let her model whatever they put her in or she'll be lucky if gets picked for catalog shoots.

Yeah, I was like, "Is he serious? What's he trying to prove, that she showed up for court and is sitting in a car with her friend?" lol. He's so ridiculous. I do not seeing his outcome being one he likes.

I wasn't surprised by Alexi's visit because the only person it was a surprise for was Loren. As soon as her dad told Alexi last episode that he should go support her at the speech, and he started considering it, I knew he was going to be there.

As I posted in the other thread, I'm fed up with Pedro's family. Totally self-absorbed, entitled people who don't give a damn about anyone else including Pedro. It's definitely going to come down to him either putting his foot down and telling his mother and sister to back off and he'll send what he can when he can and no more, or he and Chantel are probably headed for divorce.

I agree about Russ and Pao, she has the look of a sexy woman and that is the kind of modeling she is going to get. He should get over it since she is clearly going to do what she wants to do. If he wants to stay married, that is. Although I think there is a part of Paola who enjoys that he is jealous of her showing off her assets.

I wasn't surprised by Alexi's visit...I agree with Satai. As soon as the father in law said he should go, I knew he would.

I think the music video......was more for publicity on their part. So, they claimed to see her on instagram having the right "look"...I think more they found her on instagram, realized she was connected to a TLC show, and wanted her for the extra publicity. My two cents...

Just finished "Before the 90 Days"

Dutch boy is not as hot in person as in his pics. He does seem to be into her, at least for now. She is ready to lock it down. I'm not sure that he is.

Sean seems like a decent guy, but dude, you are being played. He has spent 12,000 dollars already on her? I wonder how much her other boyfriend has forked over. She obviously wants out of Haiti.

The sad sack guy from Kentucky, can't remember his name. What on Earth would anyone see in him? He might be able to fool a girl with no life experience and no English, at least for awhile. For her sake I hope not. He is a train wreck just waiting to happen.

Yeah the Dutch guy was refreshingly deep and intelligent. I have to agree with his comment that Darcey actually seems less mature than him, in spite of their age difference being the reverse. He did seem to find her attractive, but I have to wonder if maybe he could find someone a little more on his mental level besides her. I'm probably judging her too harshly. But his Dutch friends seemed awesome, too. The first truly normal seeming people on this show, to be honest lol.

Anyway I find it hard to figure out the girl from Haiti. I think she might be being forced into this somehow from her sinister Chris guy. Her comment about how he "teachers her things" made me think he probably teaches her how to please men. I did get the impression that she was relieved that Sean was good looking (in her eyes)....but that seems a bit odd too. Like she is sort of going along with this charade with him and was relieved that he does seem like a nice, stand up, handsome guy.... as opposed to a creeper. But there is something that I can't put my finger on with the whole thing. I feel bad for her, even concerned, but I'm not sure what's going on.

Interesting comments on Abbi. You may be onto something.

That was an odd statement. I'm hoping there is nothing more to it. So far, we know she goes to school, will graduate, and she sells clothes at her home. Knowing that, I don't get the vibe she is being tricked out by Chris. Otherwise, she wouldn't spend her time studying and selling clothes.

What I find more interesting is why she was so troubled by the slip of tongue she had. When, she said Chris instead of the current bf's name.

Well, we are living in the era of catfishing, so you don't always get what you see on the net. That comment from Abbi I can understand.

Yeah, good point with the catfishing. I'm sure she was relieved to see he wasn't worse looking than his photos!

But I did just find something odd about her entire demeanor. I think she was troubled by the slip of the tongue with Chris because she IS still "with" him beyond just as "friends." And she knows Sean is paranoid about this, and so that clip of her slip-up might get back to him some way. The fact she reacted so strongly to the name switch shows that there is something sketchy about it all lol. Maybe Chris has some kind of hold on her and gives her money, but she also genuinely wants the thing with Sean to work to take her to America [but without cutting off Chris]. I don't know, there's something fishy about all of it to me. I feel bad though because Abbi seems young and nice and somehow wrapped up in weirdness. Probably as a way out...

That might be true. However, she's only 20, and she might overreact to stuff like that. I don't think she has the maturity to juggle between two older men, whether it is platonic or not.

Oh, no doubt Chris gives her money, but I don't blame her for not refusing it.

Do you think she really likes Sean? As in, she really is in love with him and wants to marry him (beyond just for getting out of Haiti)? Doesn't something seem 'off' about the whole thing?

I don't think she's 'IN LOVE'; she romanticising this relationship. Since, Sean essentially will be her knight and shining armour to save her from her despair. I would fall in love with most anyone who saves me from doom.

I hope you're right. Something seems off/almost sinister about the whole thing (and I don't mean her, I feel like she's in over her head) but maybe I'm wrong!

Time will tell. This could all be TLC drama. I don't feel she's under any pressure. Her own mother was telling her to slow down and take a deeper look into this relationship.

PeTel: Their storyline has been great drama this season. Who would have guessed based on their first season, which was a snooze.
AnJo: Could she be stripping, which I read online somewhere? The previews for next week seem to hint at something like that. DanMo: I think they are played out (on the show). It's been a great ride for viewers, but time to end it. PaoRus: Same old, same old. Literally the same argument every week. Hopefully they are done with the show also.

Before the 90 days:

Haiti: Something is definitely off with Abbi. She gives really mixed body language signals as another poster has pointed out. He is whipped, but is he just another sugar daddy? I just can't make up my mind.
Brazil: The plot thickens. Miss Karine is much more in control of this relationship than I realized. She obviously is looking to hook up with a white guy and get the F out of Amazonia. Amsterdam: Gets more uncomfortable each week. He turns me off and she is just trying way too hard. They don't bring the good drama like DanMo, either. Orlando: Naive is one thing, but this girl goes way beyond that. As in El Stupido. This guy has never even appeared on screen on your phone or computer? You've already been catfished once before? How does she get through life?

PeTel????

Is this supposed to be Pedro and who Shantal? If so, I never thought they were a snooze for some reason they always caught my eye. Maybe, it was because they were both attractive, unlike some of the couples.

AnJo: Could she be stripping, which I read online somewhere? The previews for next week seem to hint at something like that.

Either that or she has a cam site.

DanMo: I think they are played out (on the show). It's been a great ride for viewers, but time to end it.

I agree.

I can stand to see another season.

Brazil: The plot thickens. Miss Karine is much more in control of this relationship than I realized. She obviously is looking to hook up with a white guy and get the F out of Amazonia. True.

Orlando: Naive is one thing, but this girl goes way beyond that. As in El Stupido. This guy has never even appeared on screen on your phone or computer? You've already been catfished once before? How does she get through life?

Let's not forget that SHE HAS NEVER SPOKEN TO HIM. It's been only text messages.
