1946年，當人們從國外回到國內時，和平給了特工卡達一擊，她逐漸發現自己被邊緣化了。佩姬在SSR（戰略科學儲備部）做行政工作，但其實她更想出去外面執勤，捉拿壞人。同時，隨着佩姬失去了她的摯愛美國隊長，她正嘗試着回到單身生活。當佩姬的舊朋友侯活史達發現他自己被誣陷發放了他最致命的武器時，侯活聯絡佩姬，讓佩姬找出那些誣陷他的人並洗刷他的污名。
