It appears that all the victims of the serial killer were fed to the pigs.
Everyone who ate the sausages and other meat products from the butcher, have enjoyed human flesh, and so, though unwittingly, have become cannibals. 😱
It's too bad this wasn't mentioned at the end of the episode.
Would anyone go to confession over this? Do they dare eat meat (e.g. pork) ever again?
The answer is: yes, of course. Sausage and bacon are essential for a delicious fry-up. 😋
" Do you fancy a quick pork pie and a pint at the Pig and Whistle?"
Lastly, the twist at the end was perfect.

This episode was a bit gruesome compared to the rest of the series. Most episodes are quite simple mysteries, usually murders, solved by Father Brown.
Nothing spectacular, but that's what I like about most English murder mystery shows.
