At one point in the episode, Josh's dad keeps urging him to go check out the mirrors in the bathrooms. I suspect he was actually trying to get Josh to leave the table for a few moments so he could have a private conversation with Josh's mom.

What do you think?

I really think his dad just wanted him to check out the bathroom ;) He is so naive and sweet. But now we know why Rose payed the 900 Dollar bill :(

haha, you're probably right. Alan is adorably clueless most of the time. I really loved him in this episode. My boyfriend even commented that he's a really good father and doesn't get enough credit for it. He's caring, doesn't care that his son is gay, and is just trying to teach him to be a responsible adult.

Yes, when you watch "Burrito Bowl" is makes sense that Rose jumps to pay a $900 dinner bill :(
