Cabe is putty in the hands of Allie. How could he have let the campaign leader of Sylvester's opponent in the election wriggle her way into Scorpion's inner circle? Even when she hinted at the fact that she needed the job, he still acted as a lovesick teenager, who believed that she was his true love and that she won't betray him and Sylvester by spying and using dirty tricks to win for her boss.

The genius nerds are continuously scammed by others out of their contracts or inventions and keep losing money. They can be forgiven, a little bit, because they lack the social skills. Often they are too trustworthy, socially inept and ignorant to the evils of the real world.
Cabe and Paige are there to help them understand the outside world. But when Cabe lets himself be fooled so easily, he should question his own capabilities for this job.

After Sylvester lost the election, Allie had the nerve to turn up, thinking everything would be all right and she would be forgiven.

Allie: "How's Sly doing? I feel just awful about the veteran thing."
Cabe: "He has perspective. But your boss is a real S. O. B."
Allie: "I know. I can't believe he made me put that online."
Cabe: "You put that online?"
Allie: "I didn't want to. He made me. I need my job, Cabe."
Cabe: "I know. I get it, but..."
Allie: "But what?"
Cabe: "All these kids, they're my kids, and they may be brilliant, but they learn from me, too. And I can't get them to understand a concept like "loyalty" if I'm spending time with someone who went after one of the team."

Allie: "Even if I did it unwillingly?"
Cabe: "I like you, Allie. But I can't pretend you didn't do what you did."
Allie: "So now... we're done?"
Cabe: "I think so."
Allie: "It's because you're this kind of guy, that I was attracted to you in the first place. I understand, I'll miss you. Goodbye, Cabe."

Did Allie really love Cabe or was she just a cunning manipulator, a femme fatale, seducing the fifteen years older Cabe?

Cabe: "Look, I've been terrified about our age difference......you're the first woman I've really enjoyed being with in a long time, but I got to know, that you're comfortable with me, the way I am: a little weathered and stronger for it......I can't change who I am and I wouldn't want to......those years make me who I am."

Allie: "I like classic cars, vintage clothes, Sinatra. You fit right in my wheelhouse, Mr. Gallo."
