So true to the books. They could not have cast a better Harry.

Harry is happy to lie to a suspect to get a confession but thinks lawyers are scumbags when they trick a witness or the judge. So, there is only one truth, the one that Harry believes to be the truth.

I don't recall Honey Chandler being Harry's lawyer in the Book.

Haven't watched season 5 yet. On my list though. So much to watch...so little time.

Just finished watching season 5. It was great but gave me so much anxiety. Hated seeing him in that drug desert camp. The ending redeemed itself though. Cant wait for season 6. Anyone know when it starts?

Exactly, a lot going on. 1) The criminal drug organization with its clinics, doctors, pharmacies, airports, and murderous thugs 2) Preston Borders with his wife and crooked lawyers, 3) Harry Bosch working with Chandler and Hector Bonner (well played by the actor who played Opie in Sons of Anarchy), 4) Jerry and the Jamaicans, 5) new homicide detective Vega finding body parts all over the place. 6) an investigation into a police shooting, 7) Drug addicted mother with murdered daughter unsolved. In addition, the season began with a "flash forward" storytelling technique with the drug boss pointing a gun at Bosch's head and pulling the trigger. An enormously ambitious season! At one point I wondered if the show had bitten off more than it could chew....

You are correct. In the book Two Kinds of Truth Mickey Haller, Harry's Half brother, speaks a lot of lines that Honey Chandler says in the Amazon series. Chandler could not have defended Bosch in that book because she was murdered in the much earlier book The Concrete Blonde .
