This was foreshadowed in "the patent troll" episode from season 4. Pied Piper will come full circle and make it big in its original purpose, as a tool to prove whether or not you stole someone else's music idea. Perhaps even bought out by a massive music industry leader to insure that any of their songs can't be attacked by patent trolls or maybe simply adopted as an industry standard in disputed cases. Such as in the case of Robin Thicke and Blurred Lines, in real life.
