Lili Loofbourow posted a piece at The Week magazine entitled and themed, "How Better Call Saul Fixed Breaking Bad's Skyler Problem." It doesn't do a very good job with the matter, so I took a crack at it myself and resurrected a BREAKING BAD-era piece I'd written about exactly what BB's "Skyler problem" was:

I think it's kind of funny, I never actually disliked Skyler at all. I felt for her character for sure, but would never say I hated or even disliked her character. I could empathize completely however. Some of my favorite moments are when Skylar and Walt are working together.
I am absolutely over the moon that they decided to include Gus! I always wanted another throw back episode to Gus, he was one of my favorite characters in the series! To see the way he and Mike came into business is phenomenal!

Who hopes that we see Walter White and Jesse on BCS? I know there's been talk about it since the beginning of the show.
How would that work? Would it work?

I would LOVE that. At this point, though, I figure it will have to be a separate storyline without them interacting with each other, or with Jimmy. I think the most likely "main" BB character to bring onto BCS is Hank because Gus recently mentioned the DEA- maybe 2 episodes ago? I wondered if that was to whet fans' appetite for a Hank sighting. Perhaps if they bring Hank on this season, then in a later season there could be a scene with Hank and Walter.
Also Gus mentioned in this past episode that for now they'd have to turn to local suppliers, so there is always a possibility that Jesse could be worked into the picture somehow as a local supplier, just never actually crossing paths with Gus.

I think I saw where the guy that played Hank is going to be a new show maybe on Amazon Prime--can't think of the name of it now.

Was that Claws, or is it more new than that one?

As someone new to this board (or any board discussing BCS and BB), I'm not totally surprised that some people were put off by Skylar's demeanor, but I have to admit that I always felt bad for her. She was put into an extremely difficult and horrifying situation. I am just curious, for those who hated her, what would have been an acceptable alternative reaction from her to what her husband was doing? (And no disrespect meant to Walt- I loved him. In fact, I loved the whole cast.)
