Discuss Better Call Saul

I'm currently doing a re-watch of BB, and I've noticed, that at least for me; I prefer Better Caul Saul. For me BB has too many slow or boring parts. Anything with Banake, Hank's rock collection, or Marie's shoplifting totally derails the plot and excitement.

I can only think of one scene in BCS that was as boring as that, and it was season 2's episode where Kim was calling business contacts for 20 minutes.

The thing with Mike tracking Gus' guys was totally boring for me. It went on for like 10 minutes, with no audio and just him switching trackers on his gas tank. After that episode, luckily the episodes have been more interesting to me.

Good catch, I forgot about that scene. Yeah that was boring as hell.

No way. This is not even close to BB.

This is normal TV, disappointing for the most part, some good stuff...

I give this a 6/10 and only because of the crime parts with Mike, Gus, etc.

I think it is getting there but definitely feels like a masterpiece. I love the way it is shot and the silent pauses. I have to say the most boring episode for me in BCS was the last episode of season 1 when they showed Jimmy with his old friend scheming. That was dull and not a great end for the first season. Everything else after that I have found entertaining including Mike switching the trackers. In Breaking Bad the most boring episode was the Fly one.

I actually just watched the Fly episode yesterday. Agreed, that one was a chore to get through the 2nd time. By the way I'm digging this board. While it doesn't quite have the volume of IMDB; it appears the trolls never came here. People are actually disagreeing with each other without insults! grinning

I'll stand strong with you because he is. Jimmy might be an ass also but he is a product of his brothers superiority and later also, malevolence. It's not Jimmy's fault that the health care system has been enabling Chuck all those years and never given him proper treatment. EHS is a psychological disorder.

And on topic: it's been so long since BB but I'd have to say BCS because I like shows that are smart and fun.

grinning Thanks Jana. So very true. I did warm up to Chuck (for the first time ever) in this week's episode when he stood up for himself against Howard and I like that he is trying to get better. But if he starts again on Saul, he will be back in my bad books. grinning

You are all crazy. No way this compares to BB.

I really like this show, but it is getting harder to watch since I only watched a few episodes of BB. I don't remember why I stopped watching. Hard to watch now without the backstory! It didn't seem to matter in the earlier episodes.

As for the Jimmy/Chuck episodes they really get to me because I have similar sibling issues. They suck! I still hate Chuck!

BB is my favorite all time TV show. I was literally breathless with anticipation for every episode. BCS is a great show and gets better every season. The verdict is still out on final eval of BCS. I can't wait for next season.

We are not you f**g r*d!! yum There you go just to remind us all of what IMDB was. Still sad that all the forums are not at least archived though! :'(

I loved the Fly episode! I thought it was hilarious! These shows are just so well written that even the mundane stuff still craps on most other shows.

I didn't like the fly episode when it aired. After the fact though, putting it in context with the rest of the season, it was great.

I loved Fly the first time I saw it. Thought it was brilliant in many ways. Never understood the dislike of it.

I definitely like BCS better than BB. I don't especially like Bryan Cranston for one. Also BCS is less violent which I prefer. I also found BB to be far fetched. BCS is too but it's easier to believe it could have happened. And I enjoy all of the characters on BCS. For example, I think Saul is an interesting character. He's a lovable loser.

I think BB was overrated also. Everyone was talking about it and it wasn't all that special. I watched it just to see what the buzz was all about.

Lol. No clue.
