Just when the show has been finally getting good, it dips back to season 2 and 1 level writing at a critical point, where the Saul Goodman name comes back into the story. The commercial was pretty funny, but it's a little bit stupid how the drama had been working for them to dip back to stupid humor with such an important component of the story. They better redeem that apparent mess up soon, or it'll be another cataclysmic fail that this show has so many of but has avoided this season for the first time. They should have a better angle as to how he begins using the name.

I feel the complete opposite way! Everyone has been wondering how he would become Saul Goodman and I can bet you no one thought this. I find it brilliant and ironic that he didn't change his name to run from his old name in some way, which is what I and most people probably thought. He actually changes it to protect the Jimmy McGill brand. And I find it appropriate that the commercials gave birth to the "character" of saul. Remember the show is named better call Saul. A slogan he will eventually adopt in his ads.
