Discuss The Thundermans

When Max was stuck on the train trying to reach for the gravity device.. why didn't he use his telekinesis? He was struggling for like 5 minutes and I don't understand why he didn't just grab it with his powers.

Probably because of the comic effect, or he just didn't "think" about it. He did get his hair messed up that way wink

I was also wondering about why Phoebe didn't just throw all the bad guys off the train with her telekinesis, instead of trying to freeze them, I guess this would make things too easy and boring. A fight to the death is much more exciting. relaxed

You both make good points. Phoebe and Max do have telekinesis but it would not be as dramatic as seeing them fight it out or Max trying to each it.

Still good show.

Maybe the Henry Danger writers weren't as well versed in the powers of Max and Phoebe as they should have been.

I thought for sure he would use his telekinesis like in Star Wars. It definitely seemed wrong when he didn't.

Don't the writers have to watch all episodes of both series before writing a crossover? Or talk with the actors and ask them what powers their characters have? If not, they should relaxed

So it looks like Part 1 and Part 2 had different writers. Dan Schneider & Jay Kogen wrote Part 1 which featured telekinesis from both twins. Dan Schneider & Dave Malkoff wrote Part 2 which only featured telekinesis from Phoebe. So this is just a hypothesis but maybe since Part 2 was written by someone else maybe that writer wasn't aware of Max's telekinesis powers. Just a theory. There is no indicator of where exactly Part 1 ended and Part 2 began. But Max did not use telekinesis anywhere in the second half of the episode. In fact the only time he used his telekinesis was at the very beginning of the episode.

You'd think with any serious show that the writers would need to familiarize themselves with all episodes, talk to the cast, etc. But this is just a low budget sitcom so I don't think it's taken quite as seriously. There is more artistic license to put it nicely.

That's possible. Also, do their powers have a limit, like can you only use it once every day or until all the energy is used up and then you'd have to recharge which means eating, resting or waiting 24 hours or longer.

Their powers have a limit, but only when they're up against something difficult. They don't need to rest or anything. But I'm new to the show. Maybe someone else can give you a better answer.
