She would have been a natural fit in this series even just on an occasional basis but the actress apparently want to be tied down to the regular schedule of a TV series.

I always thought Ro Laren should of been on Voyager, one of the Maquis. then at some point captain Janeway dies, Chakotay becomes captain & Ro Laren being 1st officer. The friction between Ro Laren & 7of9 would have been awesome. maybe a romance between Ro Laren & B'Elanna Torres, as Paris was too much a wimp for her.

I forgot about Voyager. That would have been interesting if she was part of the Maquis crew with Chakotay.

Apparently Ro was going to be written into DS9, but Michelle Forbes wanted to pursue a movie career so they invented Kira to take her place.

I never get tired of it. In fact I watched it again tonight, after posting that before.
Some people have said that it has no logic flaws/holes/whatever, but as good as it is, I can find two:

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
A) Would Dr Givens still have invented the device even though she was rescued almost immediately after being taken, not escaping 5 days later? Considering her rescue, maybe she would have been more likely to become a cop, or maybe even an FBI agent herself, too.
B) Pratt's first shooting used her service weapon, which would have been traced back to her just like happened with Givens.

At least then she still would have been alive. Most likely, as a member of the Maquis, she was killed when the Dominion "Cleaned Up" all the Maquis bases and hideouts.
