I think she was my favourite of the new companions.
She did pine after the Doctor which was a little bit tiring after Rose, but she seemed to get over this. She even seems a little weary of the Doctor when she meets him later, she has become far more pragmatic.
She was capable and intelligent character.
Maybe I'm biased but I like a medical person travelling with the Doctor. They always seem to work, Harry Sullivan and Med-tec Liv Chenka from the Big Finish Audio's are both excellent characters. As the Doctor is not actually medical as he mentions several times, it gives them a skill he lacks.
Also Freema Agyeman is very attractive.

Martha is my second favorite modern companion, after Donna.

She's clever (like the Doctor), stands on her own (unlike Amy who has to be led around everywhere ... come along Pond), accomplished great things (in the Human Nature/Family of Blood story and the three part finale).

She was, however, let down by some bad writing in that series (Daleks in Manhattan two-parter and the Lazarus Experiment).

And yes, Freema is gorgeous.

Would be great to see her again. Last we saw her, she was in UNIT, wasn't she?

Even if her timeline is completely messed up after Amys Universe Renewal, they could bring her back.

Would love a few more connections back to the start of "new" Who.

Yes, she is gorgeous (and looks great in jeans :-)). My favorite companion from the new series.

I thought they were both UNIT. But I can´t remember well... well, just bring them both back ;)
