Discuss Law & Order

I thought DA McCoy was really off-base in this one. The grieving father kills the escaped-murderer who killed his daughter and other young children at an elementary school, when prosecutors fail AGAIN to get him the death penalty. Indeed, McCoy made several arguably false statements in the trial of the father, including that the father acted as "judge, jury, and executioner." No! The murderer was convicted previously of murder, and sentenced to death, which failed due to judicial activism and failure of the legislature to correct things.

And McCoy was ticked that he thought the defense lawyer was "playing politics" to advance her career, but in the end it was McCoy who played politics by (improperly, I would argue) prosecuting and getting the father convicted, and then using him to "get" the defense lawyer.
