베일에 미스터리한 인물이 등장해 탈주한 화이트 팽의 일원을 처리하고 유유히 마을을 떠난다. 비콘엔 아틀라스의 장군인 아이언우드가 방문하고, 블레이크는 놓친 화이트 팽과 로만 토치위크의 일로 고심하다 루비 팀, 그리고 선 우쿵과 넵튠과 함께 조사해보기로 결정한다. 마을에 등장한 미스터리한 인물이었던 머큐리, 에메랄드와 신디는 비콘에 유학생으로 들어오고, 루비는 페니가 인조인간이란 걸 알게 된다. 힘들어하던 블레이크를 위해 댄스파티로 잠시 숨을 돌린 루비 팀은 남동부에 위험한 징조를 깨닫고, 1학년에게 주어진 헌터 조수 임무로 남동부에 방문해 그림과 도시를 조사하다 로만과 화이트팽의 단서를 찾게 되는데...
