This episode shows the aftermath of the fall of Nassau. New alliances form, and lines are drawn.

Governor Woodes Rogers is now mourning the death of his wife, Eleanor. In his despair, he accuses Mrs. Hudson of manipulating Eleanor and indirectly causing her death. During the accusation, he finds out Eleanor was pregnant with his baby. "I'm sorry" he says to her corpse. A bit creepily and to great effect, a single teardrop trickles down Eleanor's open dead eyes.
