Discuss The Strain

A good series with a good cast. From the beginning with good episodes and that has remained with a good quality until the end. I imagine that a stronger budget the director Guilhermo del Toro would make a much better series yet. Even so I became a fan and I hope he does more series.

Yep. Definitely a well executed story, with the exception of the need to suspend belief somewhat with the finale.

Yes, I agree. But nothing is perfect. And compared to a series like Game of Thrones, which turned a caricature of reality, it became very interesting.

Reality? Both shows involve unreal objects - dragons, ogres, zombies and vampires with mid-air jet refuelling hoses. Where's the reality?

I'm just saying that The Strain series had more consistency and maintained quality all the time. While Game of Thrones changed when G. R. R. Martin stopped preparing the scriprs for this series and it all turned into a joke. That is the old clichet of the struggle between good and evil and nothing else.

That's a fair comment. It really highlights the creative difference between screenwriters and book authors.
