Up to a certain point it felt like series finale, then they had Cressida escape, left it open ended that Tilda and Sunny survived and teased a new enemy that we will never see. I am surprised that they did not do reshoots to officially end the series to provide closure. It felt more like a season finale than an a series finale with open ended story lines that will never be followed through, hopefully it gets renewed on Netflix to at least provide closure.

Yeah I hated how they ended it. When it went off all I could thing was, "I thought they said it was a series finale." I had to look online just to be sure.

Yeah, I got the same feeling, it seems like they rolled with what they got when they unexpectedly got cancelled and maybe they didn't have funds to do reshoots. It felt more like a tease than an ending with all their open ended plot lines.

It makes me wonder whether there was some discussion of possibly starting it back up again for another season. They certainly left it open for that. Sonny is in the land between life and death, and his gift activated which will bring him back to life. So there could be a revival of the series at some point, if they want to do it. Maybe when the finale was written they were not sure if they would get another season or not, so they wrote it this way. I am assuming that MK was killed, but since he had the gift, it is possible he could come back I suppose. But he would have a whole lot more scar tissue if he did. Anyway, I enjoyed this show.

The new enemy was guns.

Yeah, they showed a revolver at the end. Familiar trope in movies; guns are evil. wooo wooo.
Since this show was focused so heavily on martial arts and sword play, I sort of doubt they will revive it now. The choreographed martial arts fight scenes were a major feature of the show. If they introduce handguns and rifles to the show then it will dramatically change that aspect. They might lose their audience if it turns into a futuristic western.
