剧本改编自同名小说，以幽默诙谐手法讲述隶属不同政党的两个男女在全国人民的监视下，偷摸展开恋情的故事。绿色进步党女议员卢敏英（李珉廷饰）作为只有两名议员的进步党主席，果断的言辞和行为总是引发祸端，但开朗正面的性格，能将大家变成自己人。在国会进步党与保守派大韩国党展开较量的过程中，偶然机会与大韩国党的议员金洙英（申河均饰）发生纠葛进而展开秘密恋情。

Soo Young is a judge who decides to join the challenging world of politics in order to rectify it. He wins an election and becomes a congressman, but rather than make things right, he's always criticized for his behavior and becomes the ugly duckling of the Great Korea Party. Seeing them up close, he realizes that politicians are even more pathetic than he initially thought and decides to call it quits. But on the day his party is secretly passing the press laws, he is hit on the head with a fire extinguisher by Noh Min Young of the Green Justice Party. She used to have zero interest in politics until her sister, who was considered to be a presidential candidate, died in a freak car accident with just 6 months to go until the presidential elections. This motivates Min Young to get into politics. After she accidentally hits Soo Young on the head with a fire extinguisher, the two of them become the most recognized politicians in all of Korea.

Kim Soo Young , un hombre de carácter fuerte y de sólidas convicciones ideológicas, es miembro de la Asamblea Nacional conforma el Partido Conservador Nueva Corea; antes de su elección, trabajó como juez y decidió entrar en el mundo de la política, con el fin de eliminar la corrupción existente en el parlamento además de trabajar para la gente.Debido al odio que despierta en sus compañeros de partido, quienes le tienden una trampa , se ve envuelto en una complicada, extraña y cómica situación con la representante No Min Young, una mujer que posee una personalidad fuerte y decidida, quien también es miembro de la Asamblea Nacional y representante del Partido Laboral Progresista, que tiene el menor número de representantes en el parlamento de su país, por lo anterior, está decidida a que su voz, junto a la de su partido, sean consideradas y escuchadas a la hora de tomar las decisiones importantes para la nación. Luego de una serie de acontecimientos que los unen y en medio de confrontaciones ideológicas entre sus respectivos partidos, Kim Soo Young y No Min Young comienzan a tener sentimientos románticos el uno por el otro, los que deben mantener en secreto por el bien de sus carreras políticas.
