A wealthy man gets hurt on a hunting trip and is restored to health by a rural herbalist. He falls in love with the herbalist and promises to come back for her, but years pass and he never returns. But when the old man is rushed to a hospital with a heart attack, it is the herbalist’s granddaughter, Xie Fu An, who also is an herbal doctor, who treats the man and saves him. Yan Da Feng est un homme riche, arrogant et méchant.

Xie Fu An (Chen Qiao En), una chica humilde y de muy buen corazón que gracias a su abuela tiene un gran conocimiento de la medicina natural china, pero desafortunadamente la pierde en un "accidente". A causa de eso decide buscar al eterno amor de su abuela que por casualidad resulta ser el abuelo de Yan Da Feng. Cuando por fin Fu An logra encontrarle éste se encuentra grave en el hospital, pero gracias a sus conocimientos le salva la vida. El problema comienza cuando el abuelo, a causa de eso, decide dejarle toda su fortuna a Fu An. Para lograr ser el heredero, Da Feng manda a un asesino para que se deshaga de Fu An, sin imaginarse que es la misma persona a la que se ha encontrado varias veces y que también ayudó en una ocasión. ¿Podrá ese chico ablandar ese corazón que por circunstancias de la vida está endurecido, cerrado y lleno de odio?
