That is what the preview showed us. And he could be put to death for treason apparently. That was the teaser after last night's season opener.

Lizzie is still giving him the cold shoulder. And trying to get him to reveal his secrets. Red counters that he will share his if she will share hers. No dice on that offer. Liz is still playing bitchy Lizzie. Are the writers making her act this way to appeal to the super sensitive, easily offended part of the fan base population? I have to wonder. I just can't see why they would write her this way. Lizzie is fully aware that Spader has offered his life in exchange for hers on multiple occasions, that he has spent and willingly lost billions of dollars in his mission to secure her safety, and gone out of his way many times in many ways for her. And he has told her from the start that he wouldn't tell her everything, that he had to keep some secrets. He told her from the start that he wasn't her father. When Cooper ran the DNA on the real Reddington's bloody shirt and Liz thought Spader was her father, she asked him "why didn't you just tell me you're my father?". Spader never answered her. He didn't correct her, but he didn't lie and say he was her father. (He lied to Alexander Kirk when Kirk was about to kill him, and told him he was her father. But then he whispered something in his ear and Kirk stopped, didn't kill him, let him go. Did he tell him he who he really was?)

So Liz can't fault him for lying to her about that. She can be mad that he didn't correct her when she believed the wrong thing. That seems like the same thing, but there is a distinction.

But given all he has done for her, it seems crazy that she could hate him the way she and her half sister do.

I am going to go out on a limb and pose a theory. I think that Katarina Rostova is alive. I think she faked her suicide in order to hide from US and Soviet intelligence. I think Spader is her brother, and that he agreed to help Katarina by assuming Reddington's identity and protecting Masha the best he could from a distance. He is Lizzie's uncle and his mission has been to protect her from the dangers she faces because of who her mother was.

Lizzie goes in cycles; she hates Red, he assumes the worst about him, he saves her, she finds out he was right, and she loves him. And then it starts all over again. I wonder how long it will be until she loves him again.
