So...it's no confirmed that Red is Elizabeth's father. It's not shocking but now we know for sure. But now it seems like Red killed Elizabeth's mother...or we're to assume.

My question...who was Tom talking with?

That's a good question.

So Tom was working for Kaplan. Or Kaplan seeked Tom out because Tom wants Red out of the picture too.

I have a feeling Season 5 will be the last with Red getting killed.

I also don't think Red is really Red but someone else.

Something tells me the Real Red Reddington is the skeleton. I don't think the skeleton in the Suitcase is Katarina.

And I wonder if Kaplan is really dead? I know we saw her body technically floating in the river, but I wouldn't count her out just yet.

I did wish that she could have mended fences with Red. He seemed to commit to wanting to patch things up, however, since Kaplan told him she wanted to die so the truth can be revealed, it wouldn't surprise me if Red wanted to keep her alive to keep the truth from Liz.

I like that Tom was involved with Mr. Caplan's contingency. I'm kind of hoping Red didn't kill Katarina. It's clear he didn't something reprehensible, but if he murdered her, it would contradict what we saw after Elizabeth's supposed death; where he was trying to process everything and in some esoteric way relived Katarina's death by suicide, which he blamed himself for not saving her. Obviously Red's not a good man or a hero, but I've always found those sort of humanizing touches what made it possible to not outright despise him, because he had a more nuanced past and identity.

Absolutely. He was trying to save the secret rather than save Kate.

I'm just glad that Aram finally made his move! :)

Red admitted earlier in the season the whole reason behind him building his empire was to protect Elisabeth. Is that to protect her from what's in the suitcase? That makes no sense - if the suitcase is that damaging, why not just destroy it? It must be something that implicates Mr.Kaplan as well seeing as how Red appeared to be totally taken by surprise when Kaplan mentioned she was using it as a fail-safe in the event of her death. Which kind of makes sense, if Kaplan is dead and the truth of the suitcase gets out it doesn't matter if it implicates her in something or not. Damn, that Kaplan is/was one mean, vindictive so-and-so. She better be dead because honestly I've had enough of this cat and mouse between her and Red. And bloody hell if Liz didn't screw things up AGAIN this week because she didn't like the way Red was handling things so she decided to take action on her own. I think I liked it better when she was dead.

You bring up a good point revengine; Kaplan said it was what they did, and it's doubtful Kate would have been involved in Katarina's murder. Though that might be an intriguing twist how that might have occurred, it doesn't really fit in with what they showed and telling her origin story a couple of weeks back; let alone the implications in "Cape May" last season that seemed to imply that Katarina killed herself.

I'm glad that several of you pointed out that Red was not trying to keep Kaplan alive out of some concern for her.
I guess I try to romanticize Red into a decent person and always give him the benefit of the doubt. Mr. Spader makes him such an interesting character. Like his turn of a phrase when he referenced the difference between broke and illiquid. I just can't figure out how the contents of the suitcase would be so devastating to Liz. If that is true, then Tom may not complete Kaplan's mission if he has his wife's best interest in mind.

It may not even bee Katarina's bones, for all we know. The "we" makes it extremely interesting. One word can change the entire flow of the show. (Or in the case of The Flash, one single comma.)
