If it's junk like the marine no. But of they decided on making films that appealed to the mass audience and was linked it could work. The only problem is wrestlers can't really act. They would need to bring in a real act portraying the lead man with others as the supporting caste. I liked ready to rumble, thought it was funny, and that would be a good place to start with a film.
I can't confess to being a fan of the idea, the movies that they've produced have pretty much sucked. 5/10s at most. And I think 5 is a rating that is too high.
I’d rather see an Expendables or Predator type film; several WWE stars in a brainless, balls to the wall ensemble action flick. I’m not familiar with the current roster, however WWE missed an opportunity in 2010 when Hollywood was churning out such films (Expendables, Predators, A-Team). Cena, Batista, HHH, Austin, machine guns, explosions, blood and one-liners – I’d pay to watch that.

DUDE that sounds like an awesome idea! I'd pay to watch that too. Cena as the heroic main leader-type, AJ Styles as the Jet Li/little guy who climbs stuff and does big stunts type, Dean Ambrose as the completely insane comedic relief demolitions guy, Samoa Joe as the emotionless muscle type.. you could cover all the action ensemble stereotypes. Maybe even Miz as the cowardly member who sells the team out to the bad guys, Sting or Undertaker as the older member looking for one last go, and the Rock in a cameo as some sort of authority figure.
Man do I wish this could be a reality. Brainless is a great word for it but sometimes those movies are the most fun of all.
The Expendables type idea sounds good. I actually think there's scope for movies that tell the backstories of certain characters, for example, I could easily picture some kind of horror movie with the story of Kane and Taker as kids. We already know some of the events that occurred when they were younger but not all. I would also watch a feature length Southpaw Regional Wrestling movie. :)
