I was a big fan of the Stargate movie and any thing related to it. We had bought our first computer and did have no idea of what to explore first. After watching Stargate SG-1 one night I had copied down the web address for it on MGM. It was amazing, there was a link to games using Stargate. There even was a chat room! I was able to chat with other fans on the show and play Stargate related games. I found out that I was also a sci-fi junkie. I have since bought all the seasons of all the Stargate related shows and would love to see more, not a fan of reboots but I am desperate...

Agree! Stargate SG1 is my favourite sci-fi show, closely followed by Atlantis. From what I've experienced Stargate-fans are usually also friendly, nice and positive, which is not always the case for all fandoms. I'm glad they're not doing the reboots, it would just seem wrong to me. A brand new spin-off however, that I'd like to see!

There are various FB groups with like minded fans of Stargate SG-1. I belong to StargateSGA. We all met on a Stargate game site of the same name. Best bunch of fans you will ever meet.

I also look for shows where cast members of Stargate guest on.

SG1 & SGA are my favorites after the Star Trek franchise. I am a toy collector. I have almost the entire line of action figures and an F-302 model.

I do not have much in the way of collectibles. Just a mug and a cook book. They did the cook book long ago to sell at one of the Gate cons in British Columbia. I think it is called "No Fruitloops, Please!" It is mainly done by fans of the show. Unfortunately many have passes on. The recipes are great. They are mostly Stargate related names.

Have you tried any of the recipes? Any favorites?

The last recipe is called "Death By Chocolate #1" submitted by Urgo, Dom DeLuise himself. Almost all the recipes have Stargate related names. Like "Nox Homeworld Brownies" submitted by some one from the MGM Stargate game site. It was quite good. Teryl Rothery chose the name for the cook book. I miss my friends from the group, some of us still chat via face book.

I've only seen the first 8 episodes. I enjoye them though but I started it in 2013 and I watch so many shows that I decided to continue it at a later date. I will get around to it eventually.

I've watched a lot of Stargate and also MacGyver. Richard Dean Anderson was in both. Michael Shanks was in 24. Chris Judge was in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and in the movie Bird on a Wire with Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn.
What is your favourite season? If you have one.

WOCH-CD has been airing Stargate SG1 twice a day but alas they sold out in the FCC spectrum auction and will stop broadcasting on August 11th, 2017. At least WYCC-TV is changing channels so I can keep on on some Tom Baker Dr Who epis!

You can buy all of the seasons for a song now. They were more expensive when I first started collecting them. Plus I could only get them from Walmart, only place in my part of the world that had them at the time. Walmart sold out fast too. Now eBay had them for good prices. I was so desperate for what was coming each week and living in the US we had to wait longer than the UK. There was a group on Yahoo that took each episode and posted the whole episode word for word. I was crazy enough to print them out to read. Used up lots of ink and paper. I had saved them until two years ago, I moved. I loved that show.

Huge fan of the show. Never got to meet Richard Dean Anderson but did see him once. They were shooting Stargate and MacGyver around town a lot.

Sorry for the late reply. I usually watch the shows again after being off the air for 5 or so years. Once I watch them all again (El Rey now carrying SG1 and SGA) I will probably not bother for another 5 years or so. I could buy some DVDs but them they would just collect dust. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I loved the show, well at least the first 8 seasons, and I actually had the luck to meet Amanda Tapping in Vancouver while on a family visit to Canada - she's a really nice lady, and she was very pretty at the time (it was back in 1999 - so almost 20 years ago) I don't know how she looks nowadays, as I haven't seen anything new with her in it for years. Does she even act any more?
