在语言训练中心任职的村上绿（木村佳乃饰）与年龄比自己小的丈夫润（青木崇高饰）共同经营着一个幸福的三口之家，可就在某天，厄运突然降临。绿被诊断罹患癌症，且病情十分复杂，已经被所有的医院拒绝接收。虽然绿坦然以对，开朗乐观，但深爱着她的润却忧心忡忡，四处寻找救治妻子的办法。经过多方检索，润找到了主要活跃于法国巴黎的肝脏外科专家三岛匡（伊原刚志饰）。当绿与三岛医生会面时，她再也无法继续保持平静与乐观。眼前的这个男人，正是她16年前的初恋男友。在治疗的过程中，青春年少时点点滴滴的美好回忆交错浮现二人的眼中，芥蒂和怨恨也似乎在这次重逢过程中慢慢消失。
