Alla sera però si presenta anche Jason che vorrebbe chiarirsi e rimettersi con Lorelai. Luke parla con Jason e si arrabbia con Lorelai, perché non sapeva che lei avesse un fidanzato. Lorelai allora gli spiega che non stanno più insieme e i due si baciano per la prima volta. Rory tornata a casa per prendere alcuni cd viene raggiunta da Dean.
