Un ladro con in mano una carta numero fa una rapina in un centro commerciale dove si trova Yuma. Tuttavia, prima che Yuma e Astral possano raggiungerlo, un misterioso ragazzo che dice di essere un cacciatore di numeri e con la capacità di fermare il tempo (grazie al suo robot, Orbital 7), Kite Tenjo, lo sconfigge in un duello e prende con la forza la sua carta numero, lasciandolo molto vecchio, per poi andarsene.
