You head down a street where you know will lead you to a nice bar you used to visit often. As you’re heading down the road, you approach a man walking in the opposite directions towards you. Excited, you rush over towards him. He’s a little wary of you and looks on guard as you peddled up to him. “Hey,” you greeted, waving your hands. You introduce yourself, he introduces himself as Chris and you ask him what has happened. He looks at you funny.

“What, have you been under a rock for the past couple weeks? How do you not know what’s going on?”

“I just woke up in an empty hospital from a coma.” You answered.

“Holy crap, that is intense!” He replied back.

You and your new friend Chris continue to head towards the local watering hole. At first you both make a little small talk. You tell him who you are, what you did before, and he tells you a little about him. He was an IT geek who worked from home. When the whole thing fell apart, he lost his power so he used his backup generator to continue getting access to the internet. At first, he wasn't sure about the truth behind these strange stories, but when the power went out, he knew the end was near. Fortunately, he was a prepper. He had a few assault rifles, a lot of canned food, good storage of water and unperishable foods. He kept on living in his mother’s basement, living off his preps and getting ready for the apocalypse. What he didn't realize though, even without friends and a need for socialization, he missed his internet friends. So he began to leave his sheltered basement to explore the real world. That's when he encountered nothing but the dead walking around eating brains. He had fun, shooting them down like he was playing Left4Dead. But eventually, his ammo supply was getting short and he needed to continue to go on runs to resupply his stock. That's when he ran into you. He likes the idea of the Pub.

“Man, I can use a nice cold one.” He says. A few more of the dead begin to approach from the distance and he begins to shoot them deader. Head shot, clean thru and thru. You're amazed at his skill of aim.

“Were you in some kind of special forces?” You ask him. “Nah man, I was the best sniper around in Call of Duty. No one could get near me.” He replied. He could have been Special Forces if he didn't lock himself from humanity. In a sense, you pity him. He never got to know what the world was like, and now it's gone. You both near the end of the road to a T. “Go right for the pub, go left if you want to leave town.” He tells you. You kind of snicker under your breath, as if you didn’t know.

“Thanks bud, but I’ve been living here for some years. I think I got this.” You reply back to him.

You get the end and turn right only to see, A HORDE OF ZOMBIES are aimlessly walking towards your direction. “Run you moron,” Chris screams at you as he turns to go left.

"The bars this way though! We have to get through!" You reply back. He looks at you in shock.

"Are you freaking for real?” He shouts at you. “Dude, there are other bars, do you seriously need a drink that badly?” He turns and runs in the opposite direction, shooting at heads as he backs away from the horde.
