My favorite is Summer of 4 Ft. 2 (the one where they go to Flander's beach house and Lisa gives herself a makeover to make cool friends). The whole episode is filled with little funny moments like when Milhouse runs out of the class at the beginning of the school day, instead of the end of it "Up yours, Krabappel!", when Bart opens Dreamdate game door and gets a nerd that looks like Milhouse Homer says,"He looks just like you Poindexter", or even when a seagull scares Lisa as she's trying to get up the courage to talk to the cool kids and she says"You don't control the birds. You will someday, but not today".

From the early ones I like Duff Gardens, Rosebud, Stampy, Laura and Ruth move in.

Hard to pick just one.
Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire, Selma's Choice, Rosebud, Homer's Triple Bypass, Lisa's First Word, Marge vs. the Monorail are some of my favourites. I'm very biased towards season 4, I don't think they had a bad episode in that season.

The funniest scene for me was the kid running down the road to neighbours in the outback.. "Be back in a sec" meanwhile 100 klm later..

Michael Jackson ep, Mona comes back home only to leave Homer again, Bart'd first girlfriend, the family dreaming they are in bible stories, 3 days ect.

"A Streetcar Named Springfield". Anything that can manage to smartly parody Tennessee Williams, New Orleans, musical theater, Ayn Rand, Stalag 17, and The Birds while also handling Marge's feelings of marital neglect all within a cohesive 22 minutes is simply amazing.
After that, the episode where Homer intentionally balloons to 400 lbs so he can be on disability. The flowered muumuu alone cracks me up.
