Item: Night Visions
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Hello,
I'd like make you notice that this serie is not composed by 26 episodes, but by 13 episodes with every episode formed by two segments. Consulting these two articles taken from wayback machine, they confirm this:

So could you fix the season?

SciFi is not the original broadcaster of this series. It was originally broadcasted on Fox in 2001. Do you have any informations about that broadcast ?

Well, I rebuild the story of this serie, rather troubled. It was scheduled to air on Fox in 2001 but it suffered many delays.
Anyway, since in 2001 the wayback machine didn't exist, the closest way for the story of this show is wikipedia. Wikipedia says that the last 3 episodes (and it means that every episode is composed by two segments) Fox never aired them.
Than SciFi purchased the show from Fox and it aired the serie from the beginning, inlcuding the last 3 episodes.
So the conlusion is:
1) I will add the SciFi channel other than Fox (this I can do iy myself)
2) I don't think that SciFi was wasted its time to change the airing of the episodes creating one episode taking two single episodes of Fox, it's more likely that SciFi took the series from Fox as it was and broadcasted in the same way.

The wayback machine already exist at that time, the Fox mainpage is archived since year 2000. Even if most of the archived pages aren't usable, maybe some subpage are eventually accessible.
This should not be done. Only the first network broadcasting the series should be listed. The episodes that weren't broadcasted by that network should be listed in the specials season.
What we need is not what you think, but proofs. And, unless there are absolutely nothing else available, Wikipedia is not a proof.
We currently have 2 pages with an episode list:
So, we will need proof to determine who is correct. Personnally, I will not have time before the middle of August to search the newspaper archives.

Just to understand: I saw many other shows that started aired from one network and than acquired by another network, that have two channels in the list.
Anyway I made a research from the wayback machine, not all pages are available unfortunately but I captured two links:
fox wayback machine 1
and this:
fox wayback machine 2
you can see that the show was scheduled from 9 to 10 PM: since every segments have about 22 minutes runtime, if you consider the very likely advertisements etc., I'd say that they just broadcasted two segments (and so one episode composed by these two segments) per week.
About the passage from Fox to SciFi, doing more researches, it would seem that when the show was acquired by SciFi channel, Fox had come to broadcast up to the segments "Hate puppet/Darkness". This is a link which announced the news and the future three new episodes never aired on Fox:
SciFi announce
Then the new network aired the entire show from the beginning as of June 14th, 2002, until "Hate puppet/Darkness" (so a total of 10 episodes if you aggregate the segments two by two).
Then two segments, "Cargo/Switch", aired as the 11th episode on August 23rd, 2002. Meanwhile the other segments, "Patterns", "The Maze", "Harmony" and "Voices", just in this order, were used in order to create the Sci Fi Channel film called Shadow Realm, aired in July 27th, 2002:
Shadow Realm
So regardless my question above, I'm quite agree the at least these last four segments should be put into a Special season, but in which form? One special episode only with title "Shadow realm" or 4 separated episodes?

The network is a per season field that should hold the original network that broadcast that season. The only case where you may have multiple networks for the same season is when that season is broadcasted simultaneously on these networks.
Here, we only have one season. So, only Fox should be listed.
This seems to effectively confirm that the series were broadcasted in episodes comprising 2 segments each.
Even if IMDB and Wikipedia indicate that the movie is made from 2 episodes (aka 4 segments), this announcement indicate that it is made from the 3 episodes (aka 6 segments) and there is no specific mention of "Cargo/Switch" in the announcement.
Note : If the duration listed by IMDB is correct for the movie (120 minutes), it is inline with the presence of 6 segments (6 x 22 minutes = 132 minutes, from which the Rollins introductions and the Night Visions name should be removed).
Even if "Cargo/Switch" was broadcasted as a separate episode as this 2003 archive seems to indicate, this happen after the broadcast of the movie.
The last 3 episodes (aka 6 segments) were broadcasted as a movie. Consequently, they should all be removed from the series and only listed as a movie which is already here.
As we only follow the original broadcast, they should not be duplicated here.
EDIT : Another SciFi archive confirm that the movie is only made with 2 episodes (aka 4 segments) and that "Cargo/Switch" was only released as an episode.
Consequently:
I will do the necessary changes at the end of this week.
EDIT : The necessary modifications have been done.
