I watched the most recent episode of "This Is Us" and "Nashville" back to back. How depressing!! Just wondering how Nashville will continue now? And this episode reminded me so much of the death of country singer, Dottie West. Eerily similar. I have lived in Nashville my whole life and pass the scene of that accident often. Still not sure how it happened. Guy driving had to be gunning it on that exit. Next week will be a sad episode too :(

Well, Connie Britton asked to be let out of her contract due to personal reason - so the show had no choice but to do that. I imagine that the show will be retooled somewhat to make Juliet the new Rayna, and Maddie the new Juliet?

I was not ready for this! It started to hit me halfway through the episode that it would end that way, but even then I thought it would come back from that. It wasn't until after I watched it that I saw that Connie Britton had only signed on for a half season. The acting was fantastic, and I cried so hard! I don't know how the show can go on without her though. Juliette is a great character, but I don't know if she can carry on the matriarch role like Rayna did.
I'm struggling because I'm in Australia and saw this early, whereas everyone else is up to episode 2 of the season. A friend was spoiled by someone liking a Facebook post that contained the ending. I realised that IMDb was where I would normally go, so I was thankful that TMDB is here to take its place!
