Well, it finally happened. Last week I was in the hospital overnight, and we started talking to one of my nurses about MI. She had no idea that there once was a TV show called Mission Impossible! She thought it all started with the Tom Cruise movies! This might of been why my blood pressure went sky high.

Oh my god I didn't see this thread Maria because I was only answering responses for the last week. I feel terrible. Are you ok??

@Jayhn1111 Yes, I'm okay. I have one kidney, and Iwas bleeding where I shouldn't be, but the bleeding stopped. So don't worry. The main reason I posted this was because of the conversation I had with the nurse. It was the first time I had ever talked to someone who had absolutely no kind of memories of the show. It was downright disgusting. What do you think?

Ok thank god for that. I just had to be sure.
As far as the nurse, I think it depends on how old the person is. Was she in her 20's? Then maybe I could see the that happening. Though I admit it is still a little hard for me to believe that somebody would've never have heard of the TV show.

Glad to hear you're relatively okay.

Depressing, but not surprising. In the decades since MI's original CBS run, I can only think of one time I've ever seen it in syndication. Now that I think about it I've never seen it in a video store or on a streaming service.

@Jetfire59 and @Jayhn1111 You guys are right of course. The only places I've places I've seen Classic MI was on METV, and buying the DVD sets from Target, Amazon, and a record store in Pasadena.

I wouldn't want to watch them now on tv. 8 minutes edited out is a lot.

I must agree, Jayhn. 8 minutes cut from an MI episode can totally ruin it; especially one of the the really complicated ones. My METV affiliate doesn't show MI. If it did, I might watch it if nothing else was on that I like.
